About Us

A Legacy of Innovation in Tele-communications

SwitchLabs was founded by Brad Jenkins, an industry veteran with over two decades of experience in telecommunications and internet services. Brad's journey in the tech world began in 1994, when he launched JPS Net, a dial-up internet service provider with humble beginnings — just two modems in Marysville, California. Driven by the growing demand for internet access, JPS Net quickly expanded, competing against major players like AOL and EarthLink. By 1998, Brad had grown JPS Net to 150,000 subscribers, and merged the company with 18 other ISPs to create one of the largest national internet service providers at the time. This newly formed entity was eventually sold to EarthLink in 2001, solidifying Brad's position as a pioneer in the ISP space.

Following the JPS merger, Brad took on the role of CEO for the newly formed public company, One Main, overseeing 350 employees across the western region. This experience gave Brad invaluable insight into large-scale business operations and growth, further fueling his passion for technology and communications. After his time with One Main, Brad founded 01 Communications, a Voice over IP (VoIP) provider that he successfully ran for five years before merging with TelePacific.
